Trinity Health Maintenance Mechanic in DES MOINES, Iowa

Description:

Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

Mechanical repairs of patient/resident equipment (beds, wheel chairs, bedside tables, gurneys and other hospital and extended care equipment)

Service work – Including but not limited to:

Electrical repair or replacement of light receptacles(bulb/ballast replacements)

Plumbing maintenance and repair.(clogged stools, clogged sinks, etc.)

Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts and small appliances.

Minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs.

Inspection/Repair of both manual and automatic doors

Preventative maintenance – Including but not limited to:

Air Handler/Exhaust Fan Preventative Maintenance

Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance

Pnuematic Tube System Preventative Maintenance

TJC Building Inspections

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.

Valid Drivers License, must meet Mercy's motor vehicle standards

Working Knowledge of basic hand tools

1-2 years of general maintenance experience(preferred
