REES ASSOCIATES INC Maintenance Technician/Set up in Des Moines, Iowa
The Maintenance Technician reconfigures mail processing machinery for each new production run. Also conducts scheduled machine maintenance and unscheduled repairs to mail processing machinery. [Maintenance Technician is NOT focused on building maintenance. Instead, the Maintenance Technician is constantly engaged in adjusting and changes to industrial machinery. These adjustments are made to gears, chains, bushings, AC motors, DC motors, motor controllers and machine timing [Responsible for setting up jobs so that our operators may gain the highest levels of productivity from our equipment. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues for our operators. This position will work with lettershop mailing equipment such as Flowmaster inserting systems, swing arm inserting systems, Ink Jet systems, Tabbers and Folders. ]{calibri=""}]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}
- Responsible for machine repairs, installations, and modifications
- Adjust timing cams and other mechanical features on chain-driven equipment to prepare mail processing machines for production and to provide maintenance in support of production throughout the shift.
- Maintain electrical wiring from switch box or breaker to equipment.
- Diagnose electrical problems down to board level.
- Set up and maintain machines by operating and adjusting equipment.
- Load, install, and correctly set up tooling required for each job.
- Inspect the product to guarantee all required quality standards are met, this would include correct product, color, size and density.
