Description We represent a leading healthcare organization specializing in the medical billing sector. They boast a team of experts who provide top-tier services which help medical facilities focus on patient care. To build on this success, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in Medical Billing to become part of our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing, and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts

2. Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data

3. Review denials and partial payments to determine the next steps needed to resolve the claim.

4. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of insurance policies, practices, and procedures

5. Research and resolve billing issues that have resulted in claim denials

6. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

7. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Requirements

8. Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk, or in a similar role

9. Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records

10. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

11. Proficiency in MS Office

12. Excellent analytical skills and ability to create and present detailed reports

13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

14. Knowledge of HCFA 1500, ICD-9 or ICD-10, and CPT coding

15. Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical billing or within the healthcare industry.
