As a recognized leader in the digital technology industry, this executive will be tasked with leading the Personal Loan digital transformation. This position will be technology leader for the work which creates the strategies and defines the priorities for the Agile teams working together to drive the transformation. This person will also work with other senior leaders to implement and execute on the key strategies.
This executive will be responsible for managing a team of digital professionals leading the development and execution of digital strategy for the business and oversees the most complex programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with Personal Lending executive product owners to establish digital target state and roadmap and oversee execution
Collaborate with Personal Lending & Operations CIO, Digital CIO to define technology vision for Personal Lending getting buy-in from tech teams and business
Identify industry trends and build external network of personal lending fintech's and experts for partnering opportunities
Drive the efficiency, productivity and delivery of critical business capabilities with a focus on software, engineering guidelines, leadership, architecture, practice and tools
Improve the customer experience by investing in digital capabilities that are integrated in all channels
Improve the shopping and fulfillment experience in response to JD Power research and the voice of our customers and employees while improving market share
Responsible for all digital technology across originations, fulfillment and servicing of personal lending
Drives transformation of point of sale and customer relationship management systems for personal lending
Ensures daily support, systems availability and reliability for digital platforms
10+ years of software engineering experience
8+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
8+ years of experience with managing software development projects through complete release cycles
8+ years of leadership and people management experience in a large-scale technology environment
A Masters degree or higher in computer science or engineering
8+ years of experience with Agile practices
5+ years of experience with systems architecture and design
5+ years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
3+ years of managing a 100+ FTE engineering organization
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience leading large scale and transformational technology efforts preferably in support of Consumer Lending products or services.
Experience leading highly technical teams and deliverables across diverse technology environments
Demonstrated knowledge of and building a set of applications within an Engineering framework.
Leadership experience building and implementing digital transformation frameworks and driving top-down culture change
Strong technical skills in cloud, micro services, containerization, domain-driven design and event-driven architecture
Experience integrating point of sale solutions (POS), loan origination systems LOS) and customer relationship management (CRM)
Strong background delivering digital experiences for consumers leveraging API management to connect incumbent systems
Executive leadership experience managing a complex technology organization of large scale, including senior managers, managers, individual contributors and vendor resources across multiple global locations
Demonstrated prior experiences in effective engagement with senior executives and external regulators
Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargo's size, scale and complexity
Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of technology efforts across several major lines of business and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level
Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
Ability to develop technology strategy, operating model & roadmaps with clear objectives and aligned with business, enterprise and technology strategies
Broad experience across multiple areas of technology including one or more of architecture, infrastructure and application development with strong understanding of leading edge as well as legacy and distributed technologies to effectively manage the complex and diverse applications portfolio
Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
Demonstrated ability to consult with key business partners and translate complex, technical concepts so that they are clearly understood along with the ability to effectively partner and influence at the senior executive level
Demonstrated ability to communicate and partner effectively with regulators
Demonstrated experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives
Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership
