LifeServe Blood Center Recruitment Internship in DES MOINES, Iowa

LifeServe Blood Center is seeking a Recruitment Intern to help our lifesaving mission! This position is a great opportunity for a college student to gain experience across the spectrum of the Recruitment field in the nonprofit world and network with Recruitment and PR Marketing professionals.The interns responsibilities will consist of assisting the recruitment department with various projects, including: Assist Territory Representative as they coordinate special event mobile blood drives Assist Territory Representatives as they develop and deploying recruitment tactics to reach new and/or current volunteer blood donorsCollaborate with Territory Representatives in defined regions to assist with community relations efforts, which includes coordinating promotional events Assist at assigned blood drives to ensure an exceptional donor experience Any other duties as assignedThese are daily functions of LifeServes recruitment and marketing teams and the intern will gain valuable real world experience through this opportunity.Hours and schedule are flexible and will range from 15-20 hours per week. This may vary week to week and include some evenings and weekends.Projects / Learning Outcomes: The intern will be supervised by the Director of Recruitment and will use what theyre learning in the classroom in a workplace environment.There wont be a boring day, as recruitment is an exciting and fast-paced world! The intern will complete the internship and have a good grasp on what life in the recruitment realm is like.Education/Experience:Two years completed in post-secondary education - in the areas of Marketing, Journalism, Corporate Communication, or Business.Language Skills:Must be able to communicate effectively. Position requires advanced professional level communication and interpersonal skills.Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:Current Driver's license and motor vehicle report meet insurability requirements.Physical Demands:These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Sit, Stand, Walk, Twist/Turn, Stoop/Bend, Squat, Balance, Reach above Shoulder, Use of Hand/Wrist to include fine motor skills, simple motor skills, and machinery, Lifting/Carrying 11-25 lbs.LifeServe Blood Center is fully committed to equal employment opportunity.
