POSITION SUMMARYThe Safety Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation or enhancement of internal and external safety compliance programs, and managing accident-prevention and loss mitigation at E2 Optics customer field locations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core Duties .and. Responsibilities:Safety is our number one priority. Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite policies.Promotes company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.Manages corporate safety initiatives.Works with personnel in all areas and at all levels to achieve consistent safe practices throughout the corporation.Makes field site visits to support safe work practices and develop safeguards.Provides support to field leadership helping them build and maintain awareness of developing environmental, health .and. safety issues and adoption of best practices.Maintains accident-prevention and lost mitigation programs for incorporation into the operational policies of the organization, including work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for materials.Determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and verifies measures have been implemented.Communicates the expectations, goals, standards, and metrics used to measure progress.Attends and supports Safety Committee meetings, and is a visible example of exemplary safety behavior.Follows-up and verifies completion of action items.Conducts new employee and contractor orientation.Maintains health .and. safety leadership and awareness skills among Managers to support compliance with internal and external requirements.Tracks safety training attendance.Provides technical and regulatory compliance expertise and support throughout the organization.Manages compliance inspections and audits and associated tracking.Manages company safety information on third-party web-based databases required by our clients.Manages other existing and emerging compliance matters such as safety data sheets (SDS), emergency planning and community right-to-know, hazardous waste, etc.Maintains safety files and records structure for corporate and field audits to verify actual results, compliance, and business reporting to E2 Optics business and our customers as needed.Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries at E2 Optics or client sites and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.Works closely with HR in the administration of the workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time.Supports Human Resources with drug, alcohol, and medical screening of all employees.Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education:High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree is preferredOSHA 30Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferredExperience:5 years of Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment.Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, he
