This role provides an essential function to the team and will do the following:OverviewProvide planning and scheduling support services to Sales, Customer Services, and our valued customers during quote stage of the projects and through the complete Engineering project life cycle.Advise Sales and Customer Services regarding Engineering schedule and available resources to facilitate optimal schedule to ensure customer satisfactionAct as liaison between Commercial Buildings Customer Services and Engineering departments within the organization from pre-order through shipment.Pre-Planning FunctionReview project documents and specifications to accurately develop baseline schedules which include all required dates, activities and milestones.Coordinate and integrate work package and schedules to meet customer requests or Engineering lead time targets and commitment dates.Manage all date requests from inside and outside sales on current and pre-committed ordersCalculate complexity and duration of Engineering tasks for incoming orders for all Brand officesSchedule task completion to meet Engineering targets and revenue forecastsEnter applicable schedule information into Scheduling systems, EAS, ESS, and P6Create daily production schedules and provide manpower and progress measurement reports in support of weekly and monthly reportingPost Planning Function:Track and oversee Management of Change to minimize rework and impact to schedules and overall lead timeCommunicate with Project Engineers, Centers of Excellence, and Manufacturing Planners for status and any updates or operational issues that would affect scheduling activities.Skills RequiredDemonstrate the ability to schedule Low to Mid complexity projects per engineering lead time targets.The ability to accurately predict the time frame required to complete work. Time and/or schedule management is required to ensure required information is acquired to maintain commitments.Strong written and verbal communication as well as mathematical, interpretive and computer skills.An above average understanding of Commercial Buildings product offering as well as general construction fundamentals and engineering principles as well as the ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.The ability to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally.The ability to check the accuracy of schedules and order clarity for purchase orders performed by Customer Services personnel.Must demonstrate proficiency in scheduling and planning Class 1-7 work with minimal clarifications required by design or drafting.Minimum 5 years industry experience in scheduling, planning, drafting, or project management.
