Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for a Scrum Master in Des Moines, IA to join a great team with a great client on a 12+ month contract.

Sr. Scrum Master

Des Moines, IA

Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

12+ month contract

Experienced Scrum Master that is able to work closely with technical teams and non-tech stakeholders for delivery in a Product Model using SAFe.

  • 5+ years of Scrum Master experience
  • Led and Scaled multiple Agile Teams in SAFe
  • Organize backlog and user stories in ADO, groom team in Agile, remove enterprise blockers, improve communication, visibility and trackability
  • Accountable for understanding and coordinating all technology deliverable activity for assigned project.
  • Understand what is being delivered and own the creation of the plan for development work.
  • Participate as core team member, ensuring overall successful delivery for the project.
  • Create and communicate the technology delivery plan to core team peers, the delivery team and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report progress against the plan.
  • Evaluate changes in scope and communicate impacts to the development plan.
  • Identify, understand and document risks, issues and dependencies that impact the technology delivery of the plan
  • Continuously communicate risks, issues and dependencies to core team peers and the delivery team.
  • Ensure peer review and cross functional review of development items are complete.
  • Manage project resource needs and coordinate estimates at each gate for the development deliverables and schedule.
  • Breakdown work and identify workstreams and help to ensure all parts and pieces of the project fit together.
  • Ensure bi-directional traceability.
  • Ensure standards and best practices are followed; architectural approach and support change management.
  • Promote collaboration among all team members.
  • Work together to achieve a common goal.
  • Escalate and coordinate resolution of risks, issues, dependencies if unable to resolve within core team.
  • Attend and participate in all Core Team meetings.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings coordinating development activities.
  • Ensure development solution aligns to expected outcomes
