Principal Sr Accounting Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa
Principal Financial Group is currently seeking top talent within our Accounting community! As a Sr. Accounting Specialist you will play a key role in the following:
Participate in the maintenance, preparation and basic analysis of financial information. Assist in the development, administration, maintenance and basic analysis of accounting procedures to ensure the integrity of information and protection of capital.
Process, reconcile, report, and maintain select accounting and/or financial information.
Assist in the preparation and communication of accounting and/or financial information.
Assist in establishing, analyzing, reviewing, and maintaining accounting procedures and or/system applications to ensure the integrity of information.
Assist in the basic analysis and review of accounting and/or financial information.
Assist in maintaining accounting and procedural documentation.
Investigate accounting issues as requested and communicate results.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Candidate may be required to associate to broker dealer immediately upon hire or notification by submitting fingerprints, answering questions regarding criminal and credit history, and consenting to a background check.
Associate's degree or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience required
Must have problem solving skills and basic analytical skills
Must have solid understanding of accounting concepts
Must have good customer service, organizational and communication skills
Basic PC and/or system skills required
This role offers the ability for in-office and hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
