Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) is a technology arm of Consumer Lending that executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to all Consumer Lending businesses. Position and Responsibilities

The Senior Architect is responsible for driving consistent and wide-spread adoption of CTO initiatives across Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) and establish modern and forward looking Architecture principals. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing transformative and game changing solution architecture and delivery for all the CLT domains, working closely with the LOB partners, Enterprise Data teams, CTOs and Application Managers.

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

  • Leads the technology transformation for the Consumer Lending Organization

  • Collaborate with business users and derive Customer Journeys to define and prioritize transformational strategies to provide the best customer experience.

  • Monitor and communicate the latest technology trends to ensure our relevance and credibility

  • Create the architectural deliverables and shape the delivery approach to realize, implement and operate the solution

  • Drive innovation and creativity, while adapting to constant change and ambiguity

  • Drive vison for how new organization will adopt Agile principles, Influence without direct authority

  • Conducts complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions

  • Shape business opportunities and offerings through application of new technologies for client delivery

  • Ensures applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices

  • Participates in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy

  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies and capabilities in order to prepare and respond to customer needs and expectations

  • Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning

  • 3+ years of experience using an industry standard database modeling language

  • 5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience

  • 5 + years of experience leading and executing complex technology transformational programs across an enterprise

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • 5+ years of technical and business architecture experience

  • 3+ years of Agile experience

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of applications technology management role including managing applications development and support for multiple systems and business functions

  • Strong project management skills

  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Consumer lending experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Credit Card, Home and Personal Lending Products and systems.

  • Experience modernizing architecture governance processes and tooling to enable agile engineering teams to self-service and improve automated oversight.

  • Subject matter expertise in Devops and Cloud architecture.

  • Design testable architecture and integrate with Continuous Deployment.

  • Experience in leading Domain Driven Design

  • Experience in managing large scale Microservices deployments and service mesh implementations including tooling and process.

  • Event driven architecture in financial services.
