About The Role:

As a CBRE VAS Digital Operations Director, you will assist with the management of the department responsible for conducting market research, data strategy and architecture, reporting, process mapping and oversight for a variety of projects and initiatives.

This job is in the Data Science & Analytics job function. They are responsible for business initiatives that support improving effectiveness, recommending business improvements, own end-to-end process mapping predicting outcomes, and developing and enhancing business intelligence and delivering outcomes both through leading a team and individual contributions. This role will be a blend of hands-on results and team oversight.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate data aggregation and curate reports, using various business intelligence, databases, query languages, scripting languages and reporting applications, based on the needs of team members and clients.

  • Leverage available resources to analyze available data, resolve missing insights and collaborate to build data sets, draw sound conclusions based on available data, and solve problems within the business.

  • Validate the quality and integrity of existing data sources and communicate insights to internal partners via documentation.

  • Collaborate across all areas of the organization including Operations, Financial Modeling, Business Intelligence, Digital & Technology and/or external partners to provide recommendations and communications on enhancing existing or new processes/programs.

  • Collaborate to overall data definitions, data architecture, and quality standards with business partners.

  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple fields, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance to help improve, develop and our product and service offerings.

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Drive the training and development of staff, and the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.

  • Coordinate the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department timelines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.

  • Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal while achieving intended outcomes.

  • Identify multifaceted, sophisticated, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

  • Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within job field.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in building and assembling high performing teams in environments with both direct and indirect reporting lines.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to set and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Commercial Real Estate data models, financial models, data sets, and workflow tracking applications. Experience specific to the Commercial Appraisal industry is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Artificial intelligence.

  • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
