Department Summary:
The Zimpleman College of Business is comprised of 48 full-time faculty members and 20 staff members. Together, we work to ensure that our undergraduate and graduate students are equipped with the technical skills, business acumen, empathy, and experience to prepare them for immediate and lasting success.
We are looking for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor to work within the the School of Actuarial Science & Risk Management (SoASRM). We seek candidates whose values will align with our College vision that business is a force for good, and who would welcome infusing this vision in their teaching and research.

Job Summary:
We are excited to launch a search for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Actuarial Science & Risk Management. This is a full-time, 9-month, one-year role starting in August of 2025.
In this role, you will enjoy colleagues in a high-performance faculty team focused on teaching and scholarship. The duties of this position include teaching a range of courses supporting the School, including courses related to actuarial science, insurance, and finance. We are looking for a candidate with strength in teaching. An existing research record or interest in publishing in actuarial journals is a positive.
While serving in this role, you will also have opportunities to perform service to the actuarial science profession. Service opportunities may, among others, include advising students and student organizations, developing curricula, and outreach to the local insurance community.
The search committee is particularly interest in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Minimum Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in actuarial science, statistics, or closely related field paired with an actuarial credential such as ASA, ACAS, FSA, or FCAS.
Candidates with a master's degree in actuarial science, statistics or closely related field will also be considered.
Candidates should demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness.
The candidate will also be expected to participate in service activities for the university, college, program, and profession.
