Aerotek Wire Assembler in Des Moines, Iowa
Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday
Candidate will be working on electrical panels for various companies
Each employee has their own panel from start to finish
On average a candidate will connect 500-600 wires to a panel while reading a blueprint
Each panel has their own deadline for completing the wire attachments
Follow panel production deadline and keep track of hours for completion.
Utilize blueprints to determine layout of the panel
Wire the panels and components based on specifications of the client
Utilize small hand tools like a wire crimper, drill, scissors
Will bundle wires together once all the connections are made using zip ties
Ability to read small word font on blueprints
Ability to play matching game with attaching wires to the panels in the correct location this is something that is trained on for two weeks to learn how to make the wiring connections on the panel

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1 year of Production, assembly, retail, fast food, wiring, construction, electrical, electrician, radio install, nail technician, automotive experience would be considered for this opportunity
6 months of read blueprints preferred not required
Good tenure in previous positions of a year or more at one company
Attention to detail and hand dexterity important for reading small font and making wiring connections
Ability to Read tape measure preferred
