The Department of Education is seeking two full-time faculty positions with content expertise in the area of Special Education. These faculty positions, with rank open and dependent upon degree and prior teaching experience at the collegiate level will begin August 2021. These initial three-year appointments have the possibility of transition to a tenure-track appointments or continued contract renewal. The ideal candidates should have a doctorate in education or related field, a minimum of three years teaching in a K-8 setting with special education endorsement and experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have theoretical and practical application of special education. Applicants who are ABD and highly experienced master's level candidates will be considered.
The Education Department offers the opportunity to teach and study in our Professional Development School (PDS) programs, which include junior and senior level interdisciplinary courses in public and private schools. Majors and areas of study include elementary and special education.
