Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Oral Arts in Dubuque, IA for a Full-Time Dental Lab Tech / Dental Assistant.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality standards; analyzing and resolving quality problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.

  • Provide technical assistance to our customers.

  • Counsel and advise Dentists on a variety of products, including treatment plans and designs.

  • Provide accurate product, turnaround time, case design recommendations and case evaluations to Dentist.

  • Hands-on details to restorations for corrections and modifications as needed.

  • Learn custom shades and help with contouring.

  • Outbound, inbound telephone communications, or email communications, either implied by a customer or requested in writing that pertain to a case, estimate, pre-op evaluation or consultation.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Must have computer skills including typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

  • Verbally communicate via telephone-maintaining a positive demeanor.

  • Verbally communicate with all levels of staff-maintaining a positive demeanor.

  • Excellent listening skills

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Dental Assistant certificate -preferred

  • Chairside assisting - preferred

  • Excellent communication

  • Customer Service experience

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Hot ovens, blasting unit, steam cleaner

  • Office equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for long durations of time.

  • Produce cases as per fixed time schedules and required number of units.
