Location: Eddyville, Iowa Salary: $14/hr Hours: Monday- Thursday 6am-2pm

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, repairs, and maintains building structures, systems, and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers' specifications, or supervisor's instructions, using hand and power tools, precision measuring or testing devices, perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Removes trash from offices and other work areas. Stripping and waxing of floors, burnishing waxed floors, cleaning, and maintaining carpeted floors, and floor scrubbing of ceramic tile floors. Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair. Follow established routine. Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
  • Responsible for general maintenance as assigned including minor carpentry, repairs of furniture, doors, windows, plumbing, etc.
  • Clears stoppages in sanitary or storm drainage systems using plumber's snake, vacuum, or manual plungers.
  • Replaces defective bulbs in buildings or on the exterior areas of the plant.
  • Performs minor inspection duties where directed.
  • Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, vacuum truck and water jetting equipment, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand / power tools.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and cleaning machinery on a daily basis such as floor sweepers, brooms,

power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment. Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.

  • Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
  • Works from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks
  • Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
  • Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor
  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communications with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company's goals and objectives
  • Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool lists. Required tool listing to be supplied as part of employment.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe effective, and efficient manner.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
  • Compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy

What are the employment Terms?

  • Employment Terms will be up to 16 weeks

  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties
  • Communication/ Expression -The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
