Job Title: Machinist

• Shift - Train on 1st for the first 2-6 weeks - 7:00AM - 3:30PM

• Then move to thirds $3 differential - 11:00PM - 7:15AM

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust CNC Mill and Lathe tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are maintained by others.

• Use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands.

• Measure to .001 accuracy.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.

• Make adjustments to tool offsets to correct feature discrepancies.

• Follow written instructions from Work Instruction Sheets.

• Read blueprints and check parts for conformance.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical devices.

• Basic knowledge of machining processes (milling/lathes, horizontal/vertical).

• Capability to use precision measuring devices.

• Competence to measure to .001.

• Experience with CNC lathe and CNC mill. - MAZAK preferred.

• Ability to set up machines and tooling.

• Strong blueprint reading skills.

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
