The EHS Specialist ensures that all environmental, health & safety programs, procedures, training, work practices, and controls are effectively implemented and enforced, and that facilities are adequately maintained through regularly scheduled cleaning and maintenance. Key responsibilities include safety and environmental administration, injury case management, technical safety advice and site-wide safety training for Implant Direct Facilities in the United States.

This position is part of the Environmental/Occupational Health & Safety - EHS located in Eldridge, Iowa and will be On-Site.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Act as the EHS representative to facilitate compliance with OSHA, RCRA, TSCA, CWA, and other relevant regulations.

  • Participate in EHS and facility budget preparation, tracking, and progress monitoring.

  • Monitor evolving environmental regulations and assess their impact on operations.

  • Support EHS compliance reporting, including OSHA 300 logs, industrial hygiene testing, and data management.

  • Engage with corporate EHS programs and submit required reports.

  • Coordinate with internal and external EHS experts on project goals, contracting third-party consultants as needed.

  • Manages EHS policies, including hazard communication, fire prevention, and incident investigation.

  • May occasionally travel domestically.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, plus 3-5 years of EHS experience and 1 year in facilities management (or 8 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree).

  • General facilities management knowledge and strong regulatory interpretation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to motivate indirect staff.

It would be great if you also possess:

  • Project and change management skills, with a successful record in behavioral change initiatives.

  • Certifications like CSP, CHMM, or CWCP are a plus .

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $82,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
