Avera Holy Family Hospital is seeking candidates for the position of President and CEO.
The CEO is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration for this organization of $27 million in net revenue. A Master's degree and/or three to ten years of experience or training is required. MHA preferred. CEO experience is preferred with a history of leadership in civic organizations and participation in local economic development. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who understands the need for active participation in the community, can build collaborative teams, and communicates effectively at all levels of the organization.
Avera Holy Family Hospital and the Avera Medical Group – Estherville are located in Estherville, IA. The diversified healthcare campus includes a modern 25-bed critical access hospital and an attached clinic with four family practice physicians and three advanced practice professionals. The hospital offers a full range of specialty services through an active outpatient clinic and maximizes services that can be offered through technology such as eHospitalist, eEmergency, ePharmacy, eBehavioral Health and telemedicine access for specialty clinics. Avera Holy Family has been previously named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals and a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in America by the National Rural Health Association.
Avera Holy Family completed a $4.1 million Emergency Room project in 2019 which the community supported with $1.26 million in donations. Recently the hospital has completed a $700k project renovating the 1958 cafeteria and also a $400k outpatient surgery area creating additional negative airflow rooms and privacy.
Estherville has a current population of approximately 5800 and is a progressive community with a strategic plan for growth and community enhancement through EXCEL! Estherville. It is the home to Iowa Lakes Community College, a leader in wind energy education. Estherville features many recreational opportunities, such as a 9-hole golf course, a regional wellness center, Fort Defiance State Park, tennis courts, ball fields and easy access to the Iowa Great Lakes.
