Job Summary

  • The Patient Access Representative is responsible for the first impression received by patients and visitors; obtaining all necessary personal, financial, and insurance data, and using proper interviewing techniques for registering information into the Meditech system.

  • Must be able to effectively, courteously, and professionally deal with a variety of situations, diverse clientele, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with questions.

  • Knowledge with the Meditech system required to register patients accurately, precisely, and compile needed reports.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.

Work Schedule

  • Varied shifts as needed; PRN

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $17.50 - $22.00
