Iowa Employer Administrative Records Clerk in FORT MADISON, Iowa

Local Police Department has an opening for an Administrative Records Clerk. This is a civilian employee appointed by the Chief of Police. The Clerk's hours are assigned by the Chief of Police and the Clerk reports directly to the Chief of Police, but may also be made available to other department staff. The Clerk will maintain thorough knowledge of the police reporting functions. Maintain strictest confidence all information received and will not divulge department information, correspondence, records, etc., to any person outside the Department. Duties: Transcription of police reports, arrest and juvenile detentions, traffic citations and all data regarding, monitor reports entered by officers for grammatical accuracy, prepare reports, narratives, photos recording evidence for prosecuting attorney or other law enforcement agencies. The Clerk will have knowledge of computer operating systems. EEO
