Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Daily tasks will include maintaining and repairing vehicles and heavy construction equipment. Employee will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them, aiming to maximize reliability and functionality.
Qualified applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of:
Small and large engine diagnostics and repair
Vehicle maintenance and preventative maintenance
Understanding of diesel mechanics
Electrical system knowledge
A/C system knowledge
Understanding of hydraulic systems
Large equipment experience (dozers, excavators, front end loaders, etc.)
GPS system basic knowledge
Ability to use manufacturer's computer software to diagnose and repair electronic systems necessary
Ability to use vendor web sites to look up and identify parts
Ability to multitask and work independently
Strong communication, basic computer skills required
Productive, driven attitude
Ability to maintain a safe and clean work area
Ability to always be learning and evolving
Driver’s license required, CDL preferred (company will help to obtain)
