Job Title: Workday Functional Analyst I
Department: Human Resources
FLSA: Exempt
General Function:
The Workday Functional Analyst I plays a role in the continued maintenance, and support of their functional areas. The functional analyst collaborates closely with the human resources, recruiting and information technology teams. They are the technical subject matter resource and assist with improving business processes and implementing new features. The Workday Functional Analyst I is also the Tier 2 support resource responsible for educating end-users, supporting case management, and responding to time-sensitive inquiries in their area.

Accountable and Reports to: Assistant Vice President Human Resources, Director HRIS
Positions that Report to you: None
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the HRIS partner supporting their workstreams in Workday.
Provide consultation to human resource and recruiting team members, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis
Researches current and upcoming Workday capabilities
Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday
Configure, test, validate and implement business process changes in Workday
Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Posting Locations, Onboarding Documents) Locations)
Building various reports and analytics in Workday
Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 issues, investigating and resolving Workday issues, unexpected results, or process gaps
Provide input and knowledge sharing with HRIS Manager, Workday Team Members, and other stakeholders as appropriate
Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in off-hours on-call rotation.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues and IT
Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess needs
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Workday HCM experience or training preferred.
HR functional and system experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
The duties for this position are normally conducted in an office environment. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
