Conductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer is looking for a qualified sheet metal team member to join our team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded. We want to add team members who take pride in their work and can solve problems in a team environment. Qualified individuals will possess the following skills:

  • Have a minimum of 2 -5 years of experience in a sheet metal shop environment

  • Have experience operating the following machines; autosaw, shear, ironworker, press brake

  • Would prefer to have someone with programming and layout experience with CNC nesting software

  • Must be able to read blueprints

Fabricates assembles and manufactures sheet metal parts, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.


Reads and interprets blueprints or product specifications to determine process sequence for fabricating and assembling sheet metal products.

Know how to locate and use all drill press dies and fixtures and adjust to make a part to print.

Must be able to work from prints, work orders, pick lists and verbal or written instructions to perform duties. Use various measuring instruments, such as: tape measure, dial calipers, micrometer, square, protractor, height gauge, and test fixtures.

Operates hand tools and fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, punch presses, and bandsaw, miter saw, routers, to cut, pierce, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.

Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces to ensure the functionality of the produced part.

Maintain accurate time cards and necessary records. Move materials as required to satisfactorily perform duties. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.

Takes an active role in understanding, implementing, and using 5S in all activities.

Through actions and decision-making, proactively supports, promotes, and improves the quality system and policy throughout the organization which includes: 1) Reading and understanding ISO Quality Manual, 2) Performing product and process inspections, 3) Asking and answering Quality-based questions.

Supports and maintains 5S.

Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
