Job Summary

Oversight and implementation of Quality Assurance programs.

Essential Functions

  • Completes the support activities for quality management system processes including execution of first article inspections (FAI), root cause and corrective actions, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), Material Review Board (MRB), audit support activities, source inspection support activities, etc.

  • Manage one or more aspects of the quality management system as the process owner including internal audits, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), calibration, FAI, Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA), Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) / MRB, complaints, counterfeit parts prevention, supplier quality, customer source inspections, etc.

  • Complete contract reviews for quality requirements verifying the customer needs are covered by current Quality Management System (QMS) processes or providing feedback when changes are needed to either the QMS or the contract for acceptance.

  • Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance to quality standards and internal procedures.

  • Promotes awareness of customer requirements and quality standards throughout the organization.

  • Determines quality improvement opportunities by monitoring process performance metrics, reported issues, and known failures.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Conducts benchmarking activities to collect and implement best practices.

Basic Qualification

  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”)

  • Bachelors in engineering, business, science, or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for a completed degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- includes physical requirements

  • Knowledge of quality of principles and processes required

  • Five or more years experience preferred and one to two years in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of commodity materials, production processes, quality control, first article inspection is preferred

  • Should be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs to maneuver boxes with parts

  • Quality certifications (CQE, lean, six sigma, etc.) preferable

  • Some travel required
