Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift (only 5% of your job) and must be comfortable with heights. You will also operate reach trucks, pick orders, and utilize RF scan guns to pull products. Additionally, you will perform various assembly and warehouse duties, including using saws, fitting assembly, crimpers, assembly lathe, pressure testers, flush booths, and air-powered tools. You will prepare assembled products for shipment, cycle count, and conduct physical inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift and reach trucks.

• Pick orders and utilize RF scan guns.

• Perform assembly tasks using saws, crimpers, assembly lathes, pressure testers, and air-powered tools.

• Prepare products for shipment and conduct cycle counting and physical inventory.

• Use various computer-based programs for Bill of Ladings, small package manifests, and mainframe applications.

• Read and interpret product prints and catalogs.

• Use measuring devices such as calipers and tapes for measuring lengths.

• Record assembly-related data on paperwork or in computer-based programs.

• Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance procedures.

• Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RF scan guns and forklifts.

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

• High school diploma or GED completed.

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, kitting, hose fabrication, production, machine operation, and hand tools.

Work Environment

Located in Hiawatha, Iowa, this facility specializes in making parts for the OPM industry. With around 100 people on the production/warehouse floor, it offers a clean, temperature-controlled environment. Employees are required to wear shorts, steel-toed shoes, and T-shirts. Work hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm for the 1st shift (with overtime starting at 4:00 am) and from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm for the 2nd shift (with overtime until 1:00 am).
