GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Information Technology Systems Technician’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands on help at the desktop level, which may involve trouble-shooting software, hardware, and network issues. Participate in rotating after hours/weekend on-call support. While on call must be within 30 minutes of the hospital. Occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in computer related field and/or equivalent of combination of education and experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One to three years of experience as a Computer Technician or related position to acquire competency in the maintenance and repair of computer equipment is preferred.
Experience ideally includes the ability to troubleshoot computers, printers, and phones.
Familiarity with Windows OS and Active Directory preferred.
Salary Range
$22.00 - $30.80
