We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Iowa City, Iowa. The role falls within the industry of financial services and will be based in a casual work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing company invoices, addressing inquiries, and ensuring detailed and accurate record-keeping. This accounts payable position will consist of high-volume invoice processing and utilizing Excel and an ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough review of company invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Address and resolve inquiries and concerns raised by employees in a timely manner

• Showcase a strong attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring errors are identified and corrected in the initial review

• Efficiently process travel vouchers as required

• Maintain and update customer credit records with the utmost accuracy

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Deliver high-quality customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Skill in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in data entry and general administration tasks

• Understanding of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures

• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

• High school diploma required, associate's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
