Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of others and have fun while doing it?As a Direct Support Professional at The Arc of Southeast Iowa you will work with children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them to learn skills needed to gain or maintain independence. You may assist an individual with teaching daily living skills, safety skills, finding social outings and/or recreational activities in the community, or provide assistance in their work place. You will teach and encourage your clients to work on their goals and engage in preferred activities to enhance their quality of life. Activities could involve going to the library, parks, swimming, playing basketball, catch, etc. and endless fun community activities.
