The academic appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor level, either in the Clinician Educator (Clinical Track) or Tenure Track, commensurate with experience. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and have completed an ACGME-accredited Residency Program. A minimum of five years of experience in adult palliative medicine is required; clinical and teaching experience in a multidisciplinary academic medical center program is preferred. Demonstrated experience promoting a diverse workforce/academic environment is required.Clinical position with protected time for administrative duties and academic endeavors.ACGME accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship where fellows train with multi-disciplinary teams; work with diverse patient populations and families; build skills in the comprehensive care of patients in inpatient, outpatient and home settings; and conduct scholarly work.University of Iowa Health Care is consistently ranked among the best locations in the country to train, work, and receive care by Forbes, U.
