Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status.Duties:Provide and/or direct medical/ care to patients for the University of Iowa Obesity and Weight Management clinical program at Iowa River Landing. and may supervise care provided by others; educate, counsel and promote health to patients, the student population and health science students; assist with medical research to further patient care. Inclusion in this job family requires professional licensure. This growing outpatient practice incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to patient care involving physicians and nutritionists. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a panel of patients independently as well as working with the multidisciplinary team in a shared care model.Education Required:Physician Assistant (PA): Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP): A Master's degree is required. A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
