The Director will be appointed in the tenure-track (preferred) or clinical-track dependent upon qualifications and will report to the Department Head. Maintaining the strength and innovative spirit of the program, the MHA Program Director will:Serve as a visionary leader, overseeing and directing the Master in Health Administration Program;Lead innovation in curriculum and educational programs;Foster a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive learning and research environment for students;Nurture and develop strong relationships with the healthcare community and represent the MHA Program within and outside the University;Maintain a teaching load commensurate with the duties of the office;Maintain relationships with alumni of the program;Collaborate with the Alumni Board in biennial meetings and interim committee workCollaborate with the Department Head and directors of other programs to identify, develop and implement key initiatives and programs;Supervise all activities within the program to meet the requirements of accreditation;Ensure compliance with collegiate, university, state, and federal policies related to grant funding, legislative, and academic policies;Serve as a member of the departmental faculty team maintaining teaching, research and service expectations; and,Maintain an active scholarship portfolio, including external funding and peer-reviewed publications (tenure-track) or active practice portfolio (clinical-track).Education Requirement:Candidates must have a PhD, DrPH, DHA, DBA, or MD or equivalent degree in a related field and qualifications commensurate with an appointment as a tenure-track or clinical-track Associate or full Professor in our Department of Health Management and Policy.Required Qualifications:Successful tenure-track candidates must demonstrate academic experience in a health management and policy discipline relevant to public health; a record of research productivity, including extramural funding; teaching experience; leadership and administrative experience; evidence of collaborative efforts in the healthcare environment; a record of improving the health of the public; success or knowledge of effective strategies for working with and mentoring diverse faculty and students; and a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment.Successful clinical-track candidates must demonstrate practical experience in a health management and policy discipline relevant to public health; teaching experience; leadership and administrative experience; a record of improving the health of the public; success or knowledge of the effective strategies for working with and mentoring diverse populations; and a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment.Desirable Qualifications:Desirable qualities of the successful clinical-track candidate include a well-established research record.Online Application Required DocumentsCurriculum VitaeLetter of InterestTo start the Online Application process for this position, click the "Apply for This Position" button located below the Contact Information.Contact InformationContact:Thomas E Vaughn - tom-vaughn@uiowa.eduCpub-HealthManagement and PolicyCollege of Public Health Building145 North Riverside DriveS149 CPHBIowa City, IA 52242Phone: 319-384-3819Department URL: https://www.public-health.uiowa.edu/hmp/The Univ
