The Project Director will collaborate with Senior/Key personnel, supervise and assist UI research team members (Nurse RA, Data Manager, undergraduate and graduate student assistants). This study has enrolled 450 adult participants at UIHC who had dressing changes ordered for their open wounds over the course of the 5-year study. The Project Director's responsibilities include the following main activities: (1) Assist in maintaining Human Subjects/IRB compliance and Clinical Trial Registration (ClinicalTrial.gov), including but not limited to (a) completing required forms (letters of agreement, HIPPA form, Individual Investigator Agreements; (b) facilitating completion of human subjects training (CITI) and certification by designated study staff; and (c) submitting IRB modifications.(2) Implement/oversee study analyses and manuscripts including summarizing and synthesizing data (in collaboration with Investigators).(3) Implement/oversee UI sub-award procedures (1 sub-contract with UPENN) with each to facilitate their reimbursement, including (a) review and discussion of sub-award processes; (b) collection of specific information (Audit Certification, DUNS and EIN numbers) to complete the sub-award agreement; (c) communication with Division of Sponsored Programs and Purchasing; and (d) monitoring outcomes to assure timely payments;.(4) Oversee financial resources, including but not limited to (a) ordering/acquiring study-related equipment and materials; (b) monitoring study expenditures; (c) reconciling TRD reports; and (d) collaborating with investigators to produce reports to funding agencies and others.(5) Assist Senior/Key Personnel to summarize and synthesize study findings for purposes of generating study-related funding reports, papers, and other scholarly dissemination activities.Required Qualifications:* PhD degree with 3 years of successful experience as a project director or other significant research assistant role. * At least 2 years of experience as the project coordinator for a grant (preferable an NIH-funded R01).* Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain quality support staff to conduct clinical research.* Ability to deliver research protocols to collect and process study data.* Experience reconciling budgets and report generation* Specialized computer software experience in using REDCap, Access, Excel, and SPSS in quality control activities.* Demonstrated research publication writing experience (preferable evidenced as Contributor/co-author of publications stemming from NIH-funded grants).Desired qualifications:* Knowledge of and experience with University of Iowa Policies and Procedures.* Knowledge of and experience with University of Iowa accounting software.ContactLINDA WEIR JACOBIPhone: 319-353-4806Email: linda-weir@uiowa.eduApplication InstructionsApplicants are to submit via e-mail or USPS a letter of application and resume to Linda Weir Jacobi/HR Coordinator linda-weir@uiowa.edu or College of Nursing, 50 Newton Rd-480 CNB, Iowa City, IA 52242-1211Ad Start Date04/01/2021Ad End Date04/05/2021The University of Iowa prohibits discrimination in employment or in its educational programs and activities on the basis of race, national origin, color, creed, religion, sex,
