Preparing journal entries, complex accounts receivable, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Do you have a complex understanding of Accounts Receivable, Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role.

Major responsibilities

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

  Requirements

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Great attention to detail

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Foundational knowledge in Cash Deposits

• Experience with Bank Deposit

• Deep understanding of financial statement preparation

• Well-founded grasp of Property Management Accounting

• Financial Statement experience

• Proven knowledge of Aged Receivables

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
