Homeschool Assistance Program Liaison

Greene County Community School District

Job-Type: Part-Time

Reports To: Director of Special Services

Salary: $25 per hour for 500 hours total


Job Overview:

The Homeschool Assistance Program Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact between homeschooling families and our organization. This role involves providing support, resources, and guidance to homeschooling families, coordinating with educational professionals, and ensuring that families have access to the information and tools they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Support and Guidance:
  • Serve as a resource for families on homeschooling laws, curriculum choices, and educational best practices.
  • Provide individualized assistance to families in developing and implementing their homeschooling plans.
  • Offer ongoing support through regular check-ins and informational sessions, as needed.

  • Resource Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain a library of homeschooling resources, including curriculum materials, teaching aids, and educational technology.
  • Coordinate with local educational professionals, such as tutors and subject matter experts, to provide additional support to homeschooling families.

  • Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of family interactions, resources provided, and program activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes and family satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in education, homeschooling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse families and understanding of different educational philosophies and methods.

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of homeschooling laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of educational technology and online resources.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
