This role with work under the supervision of the Johnston FS&RE Site Leader, the incumbent is responsible to successfully ensure utilization of cost management best practices to achieve site objectives for Johnston FS&RE. This position works with the leadership team to ensure accurate and timely cost controls are implemented and maintained for fixed costs and capital projects as well as financial analysis in support of lease contracts.

What You'll Do:

  • Derive the cost baseline reports.

  • Provide facilities team with up-to-date commitment, spending, deviation and forecast information needed to appropriately manage facility budget and costs.

  • facilities commitments and spending to ensure that each item is within PO scope and aligns with the facilities estimate.

  • Communicate with facilities team members to determine current status of assigned budgets.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between expected and actual planned spending and commitments.

  • Provide cost management oversight & analysis on facilities spend vs forecast.

  • Use facilities knowledge from various sources, including SAP, schedules, project team and contractors, to develop a forecast that is accurately cash-flowed across time.

  • Ensure cost deviations and facilities PO's are accurately reflected in the facilities cost center forecast

  • Coordinate with facilities leaders and cost accountants to book monthly accruals.

  • Ensure facilities reports are issued to the project team in accordance with documented facilities costs (frequency, format, etc.).

  • Compile and track annual budgets and 5-year plans.

  • Review lease Classification Templates for Real Estate team worldwide.

  • Approve Leases in FM for Financial approval.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA in Finance, Business Management or other field preferred.

What Skills You Need:

  • Business process experience.

  • Experience in cost management and/or capital projects.

  • Industry standard best practice project cost management processes and their application.

  • Use of industry accepted applications for cost, along with the standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Broad understanding of facility disciplines and activities that are necessary to build, maintain and decommission facilities.

  • Experience in SAP a plus.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • Sound interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to form good working relationships and negotiate effectively with internal and external contacts.
