Corteva Agriscience Global Product Manager, Corn in Johnston, Iowa

Description

If you're good at what you do, you can work anywhere. If you're the best at what you do, come work at Corteva Agriscience! Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Global Product Manager supporting Corn.

Global Product Managers (GPMs) are accountable for assigning the value of new products in business cases, driving global execution of business priorities and product launches, and ensuring cross-functional alignment for their assigned portfolio. GPMs work across multiple functions including Discovery, Breeding, Regulatory, Global Seed Operations, Commercial, and Legal to ensure seed products are successfully introduced to the market and that business is run in manner that balances company objectives with farmer needs.

In addition to supporting product launches and new business cases, the Global Product Manager is a business role. The role will have four main focus areas, working closely with cross-functional teams. Those main focus areas include: 1) Commercial; 2) Research & Development (R&D); 3) Global Seed Operations (GSO); and 4) Legal/Contract compliance. GPMs are expected to have a deep background and experience in one of the first three areas; strong knowledge in a second area; and a willingness to learn and develop in a third area. Working with Legal/Contract will entail connecting with the proper resources to ensure business plans adhere to our rights and obligations.

The GPM will also support the Corn portfolio by driving successful business results. This may involve working on life-cycle management, production locations/options, or risk/factor inventory levels with Commercial/GSO, product count and segment targets with Commercial/R&D, or similar initiatives. All of these activities are designed to support a robust business in the near-term and in long-range planning.

In order for the GPM to be successful, strong cross-functional working relationships must be developed throughout Corteva. The skills and experiences learned and demonstrated in the GPM role can prove very beneficial to individuals who want to continue to advance in their career and take on larger responsibilities within the organization.

Given the importance of cross-functional engagements and access to key team members, the preferred work location for GPMs is Corteva's Global Seed Business Center in Johnston, Iowa. Consideration for other locations will be given to candidates in select situations. International travel is required for this role. This role will be engaged in the following locations: U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America, Republic of South Africa, Asia Pacific Region, and Australia.
