As a member of our Public Affairs leadership team, the Head, Employee and Leadership Communications is responsible for leading a small team dedicated to elevating how Corteva informs, engages and inspires our leaders and colleagues globally.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and counsel global employee communications - implement best practices, innovations and new ways of working so that the company and its leadership can effectively and efficiently reach and engage employees around the world.

  • Work with other members of the PA leadership team to ensure that external messages and actions are reflected in internal messages and content.

  • Provide proactive and strategic communications counsel and guidance to the PA leadership team, senior leaders and executives on how to engage and motivate employees to deliver critical business outcomes.

  • Create and execute an integrated internal communications strategy that delivers results in alignment with our business goals, culture, and values.

  • Develop and deliver compelling internal messaging and other content.

  • Lead planning of key internal activities, such as global town Halls, as well as content for one.Corteva, our intranet, and Cultivate, our global newsletter.

  • Ensure employee content is compelling, relevant and read by employees.

  • Work across the business to identify, develop and communicate stories focused on the company's strategic priorities.

  • Use data and best practices to drive continued enhancements to our tools and tactics.

  • Enhance efforts to reach colleagues based outside of the U.S and in non-desk roles.

  • Mobilize employees to support public affairs advocacy efforts, as needed.

  • Collaborate with Human Resource to help drive critical messaging, actions, and engagement related to culture, organizational change and HR processes/practices.

  • Lead and support ad-hoc communication projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • Experienced communications professional with 10+ years of experience leading internal communication efforts in a corporate environment.

  • Excellent communications judgement and ability to read the external and internal environment and use that analysis drive employee communications strategies.

  • Experience and expertise working with members of executive leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Excels at driving strong performance in a multi-stakeholder, matrixed environment.

  • Experienced at developing and deploying communication strategies to achieve desired results.

  • Excels at earning trust and respect among team members, guiding performance and developing talent.

  • Strategic mindset: innovative, forward-thinking, creative.

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills; strong public speaking skills.

  • Ability to solve complex problems and navigate sensitive situations with minimal guidance.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
