A Typical Day for our Philanthropy Coordinator at WesleyLife's Network Support Center:

  • Manage data entry and maintenance of the donor database system

  • Ensure timely gift acknowledgement in accordance with Foundation gift acceptance practices

  • Support all required reports for the Foundation’s development activities alongside the Director of Donor Data

  • Support technical training related to utilization of the fund development software, gift entry procedures, donor recognition standards, and donor appreciation activities for WesleyLife Business Offices

  • Support production of all donor listings, and coordinate maintenance of donor recognition boards at each WesleyLife community

  • Work in conjunction with other members of the Foundation team to develop, write, edit and produce fundraising materials and letters to support solicitation of WesleyLife charitable gifts

  • Coordinate Foundation special events and activities and works closely with leadership and volunteers to accomplish event tasks and overall event success

  • Provide administrative support for the Foundation board: scheduling board meetings, coordinating/scheduling committee meetings, organizing/prepping documents, taking board minutes and deploying minutes, etc.

  • Create and support internal and external Foundation communications

  • Handle daily administrative activities for the Vice President of Philanthropy and team. This will include being a primary contact for incoming calls, making outbound calls for the team when necessary, scheduling/coordinating meetings and projects, handling correspondence, coordinating technoligical pieces including Zoom meeting and board meeting software, coordinating mailings and other administrative tasks.

  • Serve as a back-up to support front desk reception as needed

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $23.00 / hour. Starting pay rate will be based on years of experience.

Qualifications

Education

Required

  • High School or better

Preferred

  • Bachelors or better

Experience

Required

  • 3 years: Administrative experience, supporting an executive level role

Preferred

  • Proficiency with donor database management or CRM software. Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred.

  • Proven customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. The person must demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, the ability to work independently and solid problem solving skills.

  • Previous fund raising, donor cultivation and/or special events planning preferred. An interest in developing further knowledge of fundraising and philanthropic processes is preferred.
