ManpowerGroup Safety Coordinator in Johnston, Iowa

Our client in Grimes, IA is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team for a one year contract. As a Safety Coordinator, you will provide general clerical and administrative support to safety, health, and environnmental activities. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of hazardous waste handling experience and lab experience, strong computer skills and exceptional focus on safety.

Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Location: Grimes, IA in a warehouse setting

Pay Range: $24

What’s the Job?

  • Data entry

  • Work with chemicals in a laboratory setting

  • Support EHS@S team with permits, inspections, documentation, and calibration or certification of equipment

  • Assist in characterization, collection, transport, and non-regulated hazardous waste.

  • Ensure shipments meet OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements

What’s Needed?

  • 1+ years of chemical or laboratory experience a plus

  • 1+ years of hazardous waste handling experience a plus

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

  • Ability to perform routine lifts of 20-30 lbs with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs.
