As the SQL Service Administrator, you will play a key role in optimizing the organization's SQL Server environment. Your responsibilities will encompass database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations and maintain data integrity. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to enhance database performance and contribute to strategic data initiatives.

What You'll Do

Database Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.

  • Perform database backups and recovery operations.

  • Manage user accounts and permissions.

  • Monitor database performance and proactively address any issues.

  • Implement and maintain database security measures.

    Data Warehousing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and data marts.

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.

  • Optimize data warehouse performance for efficient querying and reporting.

    Integration Services:

  • Develop and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SSIS package errors.

    Ad Hoc Reporting:

  • Assist in the development of ad hoc reports and queries.

  • Provide technical support to business users on reporting issues.

  • Analyze data and provide insights to support business decisions.

    Troubleshooting and Other Duties:

  • Diagnose and resolve database performance issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server errors and exceptions.

  • Investigate and resolve data integrity issues.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

    What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or similar field. Experience may be substituted for formal education.

  • One year of experience as an SQL Server Administrator.

  • One year of experience working with data warehousing concepts and methodologies, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and systems performance tuning and troubleshooting.

  • Microsoft Certified SQL Server Database Administrator preferred.

  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

  • Ability to work on-site in our Johnston, Iowa location.
