Johnston Community School District Substitute Nutrition Worker in Johnston, Iowa
Position Summary: Preparation, serving and clean up of food and equipment for the Nutrition Department.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and write English, perform basic arithmetic and follow oral and written directions
Ability to stand continuously and have the capacity to lift 50 lbs safely
Ability to relate to children
Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
Food service preparation experience preferred
Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.

Responsible for food preparation and acceptability of food before and after preparation
Responsible for maintaining serving line
Responsible for operation, cleaning, and maintaining foodservice equipment
Maintains appearance appropriate to job responsibilities (wear appropriate uniform clothing, hair net covering on the hair, and comfortable & safe rubber-soled shoes)
Perform job-related duties as requested by supervisor
Terms of Employment: Substitutes are called and used on an “as needed basis” with no guarantee of hours or days.
