JOB SUMMARY

Performs administrative duties supporting Production and Processing Supervisors in a manufacturing setting in the filling of overtime due to call offs. Approves time cards daily for assigned hourly personnel. Performs duties to support in the documentation of training of Production and Processing personnel. Updates training system and tracks the training of assigned personnel. Interacts with hourly and salary personnel to ensure timely completion of training.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitors and screens reports of absence from the call-in line.
  • Assist with preparing weekend employee scheduling needs.
  • Track and enter employee vacation time information in database.
  • Track and follow-up on employee sick leave.
  • Enter information concerning melting/pouring heat submissions as it applies to the Phoenix and Aries databases.
  • Assist with work order returns and MRS wheels.
  • Utilizing overtime lists, fills open positions due to call offs.
  • Types letters, reports, forms, accesses data bases, makes entries, prepares reports and spreadsheets, etc. using a PC.
  • Maintains accurate records related to training, incident reports and supports supervisors in the preparation of investigative documents, official recorder of all company/union meetings.
  • Provides administrative support for plant supervision.
  • Uses office equipment as required.
  • Enters data for processing and/or record keeping purposes.
  • Promote good working relationship with employees and provide fair and equitable solutions for the Company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • High School plus additional specialized business courses. Operation of office equipment and computer systems.
    • Over one and up to three years of experience in manufacturing environment. Effective communication and problem solving skills (verbal and written).
    • Demonstrated ability with computer using Microsoft Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP, HR/Payroll Systems.

    • Willingness to work overtime as required - sometimes on short notice
