Madrid Community School Dist District Technology Specialist in Madrid, Iowa
Reports to:
Superintendent of Schools
Basic Functions:
Direct and Direct and oversee the district technology services including planning, maintenance and repair of the phone system, video systems, computer networks, software for system operations, and hardware.
Facilitate or guide technology support employees in updating and implementing all district technology.
Advise the superintendent in technology purchases and maintenance schedule.
Essential Functions
:
Manage and maintain the districts voice, video, and data networks including, but not limited to, backup procedures, network accounts, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Manage LAN, wireless network and internet installation, configuration and maintenance.
Maintain district Data Centers (including servers, switches, firewalls).
Troubleshoot and maintain technology equipment, systems and networks. Facilitate technology troubleshooting employees or implement repairs when required.
Design, implement, and manage the districts internal and external wireless network.
Supervise work by outside contractors.
Supervise and guide work by district technology employees.
Implement system standards and upgrades.
Provide in the installation, maintenance and problem resolution for district hardware and software.
Coordinate and manage the planning and implementation for the security of the districts technology systems.
Provide support for the district student management system and State reporting.
