TITLE:
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Current CDL and school bus operators permit issued by the Department of
education.
Has an acceptable driving record and a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and
school bus regulations.
Medical physical as required by law annually.
A good work record.
REPORTS TO:
Transportation director and building principals
JOB GOAL:
To transport students to and from attendance centers and activities in the
safest and most efficient manner.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obeys all traffic laws
Attend three hour annual training sessions as required by Iowa Dept. of Education.
Meets emergency situations in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Implement rules and regulations as defined in Board Policy.
Conducts pre-trip inspections on vehicles, maintaining sufficient fuel and oil.
Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
