Responsibilities

Lead the site Maintenance functions in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.

Responsible for scheduling and supervising the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

Increase the site operational efficiency, improve on project delivery, time between failure and downtime reduction, and lead and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

Develop the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures while also mentoring and leading the department.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities.

Ensure the execution of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule.

Schedule both internal and external work, improving planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.

Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenses.

Identify and deploy the technical skills, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.

Develop, implement and lead key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.

Lead contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.

Manage, mentor and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

Motivate and coach the team to operational success.

Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments.

Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the maintenance strategy.

Support the EMS, QMS & H&S systems.

Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

Manufacturing environment.

Must be able to work in hot conditions.

Must be able to work at a fast pace.

Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Must be willing to work with manufacturing personnel in an industrial setting.

Must be willing to arrange schedule to work on off-shifts as necessary to accommodate the operations.

All weather condition inside and outside.

Required overtime and weekend work will be necessary.

Must work all shutdowns.
