IKM MANNING HIGH SCHOOL Spanish Teacher - Secondary in Manning, Iowa
Job Summary: IKM-Manning Community School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team. As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, helping them develop their language skills and cultural understanding. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver effective Spanish language lessons to students of various proficiency levels - Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate cultural elements - Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning - Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials - Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Skills: - Fluency in Spanish language (written and spoken) - Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans - Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students - Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities - Knowledge of instructional strategies and assessment techniques for language acquisition
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred) - Teaching certification or license in Spanish or Foreign Language Education - Experience teaching Spanish language at the middle or high school level is preferred
