The MNW Jr/Sr High School building is | | located in Manson, Iowa. We are 30 minutes east from Fort Dodge and | | about an hour and a half north of Ames. Manson is a growing community | | including two grocery stores, pharmacy, medical clinic, dentist, two | | gas stations and so much more! | | | | Job Summary | | | | To facilitate student success and growth in academic and | | interpersonal skills through implementing district and state approved | | curriculum; documenting teaching and student | | progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs | | of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and optimal | | learning environment at school; and providing feedback to students, | | parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations | | and goals. | | | | Primary Responsibilities: | | | | Must have good communication skills, be flexible, and patient. | | | | Strive to build strong and positive relationships with assigned | | students and families | | | | Knowledgeable of the MTSS framework | | | | Develops and administers approved curriculum consistent with school | | district goals and objectives. | | | | Develops lesson plans to maximize learning opportunities in order to | | meet the needs of all learners | | | | Provides meaningful feedback of student learning, and differentiates | | instruction to meet individual needs. | | | | Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to | | individualized and small group instruction that are aligned to | | building and district goals. | | | | Organizes and maintains accurate records, grades, and reporting for | | all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by | | district procedures and applicable laws. | | | | Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current | | developments in the educational field by attending seminars, | | workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research. | | | | Certification Requirements | | | | 5-8 Multi Subject (Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social | | Studies) Licensure - Iowa Board of Educational Examiners | | | | Manson Northwest Webster Community School District (MNW) is located | | in northwest Iowa and covers parts of Calhoun, Webster, and | | Pocahontas counties.
