Telcom Construction Inventory Coordinator - Marion, IA in MARION, Iowa

Our focus on delivering a quality product with attention to safety, integrity and customer satisfaction has driven our success.Overview:Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for location yard(s), facilities, materials management and inventory control for one or several specific Company branches.We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to work in our Marion, IA location.Responsibilities:Responsible for the material purchasing process including issuing POs, determining appropriate timing of material orders (ensuring best price while meeting job needs), and purchase tracking (ensuring in-time delivery).Orders and coordinates project supplies to arrive on time and at the correct location.Receives new material shipments and verifies order content and completeness.Physically or mechanically handles and stores new material shipments.Develops and creates reporting for Min/Max levels, material demand, forecast and budget purposes.Manages inventory for specific jobs by communicating with Supervisors and staging materials from each jobs pick list.Communicates inventory needs to the Supply Chain Manager.Aids in holding employees and subcontractors accountable to appropriate documentation of inventory as it is taken and returned to designated yards/warehouses.Maintains location(s) inventory list by allocating inventory to individual jobs and tracking inventory changes using a scanner, computer and/or inventory system software.Coordinates and/or conducts physical inventory reconciliations and follows up on inventory discrepancies.Maintains organization of inventory at assigned yard(s)/facilities.Maintains a clean and orderly shop and yard area.Acts as the primary lead at the site for all customer material requests and check outs.Delivers material to other locations or job sites as needed.Participates in and adheres to all Company Safety requirements.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of 6 months prior related inventory maintenance experience.Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos.Effective and respectful written and verbal communication.Problem solver and logical thinker.Ability to control essential job functions in a fast paced environment that interacts with both internal and external work crews and customers.Team oriented, keeping the organizational needs at the forefront.Familiarity with Google-based applications such as G-mail, Google docs and sheets.Proficient use of Internet software and databases.Familiarity with Inventory tracking systems and hardware.Understanding and use of general arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, units of measure and weight using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.Maintains current DOT health card.Forklift certified.Valid drivers license with favorable driving record required Class A or B license preferred.Core Competencies:Team workProblem solvingThorough and effective communicationOpenness to changeAbility to develop and maintain relationshipsDependabilityOrganizedWork Environment/Physical Demands:The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
