Position Title:School Administration Manager (SAM) Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal Summary (Job Goal): Manage and coordinate school operations to include supervision and evaluation of classified staff, special events planning and implementation, student transportation, and overall building maintenance. Support the vision and mission of the District as well as building vision that sets high expectations for students and staff.

Understand, support, and help the building principal implement change efforts at the District and/or building level.

Assume responsibility for management of the school in the absence of the building principal.

Manage all school scheduling, special events, field trips, cafeteria, transportation, maintenance, playgrounds and cleaning.

Coordinate, manage and supervise the extra-curricular programs including community use of the school site.

Prepare reports, records, and all other necessary paperwork as required.

Develop and implement a positive, effective student management system to include monitoring and improving student attendance.

Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce an effective student discipline plan as necessary according to due process.

Supervise classified staff and structure regular and systematic performance observations and evaluations to increase staff effectiveness; maintain a culture of high expectations and demand high quality of performance.

Develop team-building, problem solving and organizational skills among classified staff.

Conduct staff meetings as appropriate for proper functioning of the school.

Develop a professional rapport and good working relationship with all staff members.

Ensure staff professional development is consistent with the school vision and goals.

Motivate and recognize classified staff accomplishments and achievements toward desired goals and objectives.

Manage classified negotiated and contractual agreements effectively.

Address and resolve problems/issues in a timely manner.

Assume responsibility for and support the implementation of Board Policy and administrative regulations keeping classified staff informed of changes in policy and procedures which affect them.

Maintain accurate records as required by federal, state, and local officials.

Adhere to applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations, Board Policies and Administrative Regulations.

Administer policies and procedures in a fair and equitable manner.

Maintain confidentiality in the school operation.

Treat students, staff, community members, and all other contacts fairly, equitably, and with dignity and respect.

Oversee daily operations to meet District, building and student goals.

Assist the principal in managing the school's budget and total needs in requisitioning and inventorying equipment and supplies within the funds allocated as well as administration of the overall building budget in accordance with state and District practices.

Plan and supervise disaster preparation, fire drills and emergency preparedness program.

Assist the principal with the safety and security of the building and maintain a safe environment for all students, staff, and the public. Provide for accurate inventories of property to ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Utilize knowledge of learning and staff development to make management decisions.

Report to the central office regularly concerning the needs of the school with respect to classified personnel, transportation, equipment, and supplies.
